I’m from the city of Detroit. We moved to the ‘burbs when I was young, due to the racial climate of the sixties. The name motownmutt came partly from being raised part of my life in the city, and partly in the suburbs. It also describes my mix of blue collar and technical background over the years, having done everything from demolition work to contract work for Department of Energy labs.
The name also describes a stray mutt we adopted when we still lived in Detroit.
When I went trucking with my owner/operator brother in 1984, I needed a CB handle.
