They Will Still Sell You A Hot Dog, Even Though It Isn’t On The Menu

Chris has been a great power of positivity in my life, along with many others, and she always asks me to write about things. So, I had a 1:00 appointment, and was hungry, and drove by the old hot dog stand, in the hopes it might be open. It’s been closed for a few months now; I guess the former owner decided to re-up his medical licenses and go back in to that line of work. That’s all very interesting backstory stuff, but it was 12:30, I had a one o’clock, and I hadn’t eaten yet. So, the more pressing question to me, was, is this place open, and can I grab a quick bite?

The answer, to my delight, was, Yes, Yes, it was. I asked if I could get a hot dog and some french fries, and, yes, of course, was the answer. So, I had a few minutes to wait around, and noticed this (former) hot dog stand had a new menu. It had a new name. It wasn’t even a hot dog stand any more. But they served me up a delicious hot dog on a toasted bun with some delicious french fries a few minutes later. I had taken a picture of the menu, and hot dogs aren’t even on the menu, but there it was, for my dashboard dining delight experience.

The people who made up my food were nice and friendly, and the food was made with care, and so that’s what I’ve got to write about that experience. It was perfectly suited to my immediate needs, and I’ll probably go back again. Corner of Estey and Airport. Stop by and give ’em some love.
